The Cantonal Costume Federation of Ticino
The future of a nation's identity is built in the present by saving and evaluating the documentation of its culture, both material and spiritual, that the past provides. This is the basic principle which has motivated the Cantonal Costume Federation of Ticino (FCCT) for over sixty years.
Established in 1937, the FCCT promotes the preservation of the historical memory by defending, studying and preserving the folk costumes, songs, dances and music as well as the customs and traditions that are part of the cultural values of the Canton Ticino (Switzerland).
The Cantonal Costume Federation of Ticino serves as umbrella organization, actually 19 groups are affiliated.
